Conversions
Release 6.11.0 delivers a new functionality we call ‘Conversions.’ A Conversion offers the ability to convert one product into another product. As an example, Product A is a widget with a red component. Product B is the same widget but with a green component. Perhaps a scenario arises in which there is a large quantity of Product A on-hand but Product B is in short supply. We can swap the red component for the green. Then, complete the conversion as a Stock Transfer. Backorder avoided! To set up a Conversion, start by building a new Conversion Profile from the Products Screen. MESTEC will map the BOMs from the source product to the target product. Users can adjust the mapping as desired. Finally, Convert the Item from the Stock Items screen.
Password Reset for Managers
Previously, password resets could only be performed by users with full admin permissions. With 6.11.0, managers can now reset passwords for their direct reports. This can be done by selecting the “amnesia-suffering” employee from the Users screen then smashing that Reset Password button.
Device Login Mode
Since the release of Single Sign On in 6.7.0 users have been given the choice of two Login Mode options: MESTEC login or Azure AD SSO. To help users skip the selection step, each device can now be preset with the preferred default Login Mode.

Users can now add the Planned Workcentre field onto the Workstation screen. This will aid users in booking on to the worksorder at the specific workcentre as planned.
The Asset Current Status screen is now filtered to only display active assets.
Users creating a new Workflow by copying an existing workflow will now be required to select the Approval Status. Only users with permissions to approve a workflow will be able to set the Approval Status to Approved.
As a security measure PDFs that contain code will not be permitted upload into MESTEC.
