Multi Edit Job Due Dates
Users can now quickly and easily update multiple job due dates in 1 move. This feature by request gives schedulers a new method to efficiently move job dates in or out for many orders all at once.
RCCP Upgrades
Release 6.6.0 strengthens the new Rough Cut Capacity Planning tools. When setting capacity utilisation, the new formula can now effectively evaluate plans against Workcentres that belong to multiple Workcentre Groups. Users can now also delete Capacity Scenarios. And to support more accurate RCCP evaluations, users can import their available capacity hours from the Advanced Planning and Scheduling module.
Availability Status to Workcentre Selection Screen
When choosing a workcentre while booking on to a works order operators are directed to the Workcentre Selection screen. Prior to 6.6.0 this screen would indicate the availability status of each workcentre with a colour indicator. We’ve now also added a text field to further clarify the status designation associated with the colour.
Issue Ownership by Skill or Permission
The Mestec Issue Tracking tools allow users to keep tabs of ongoing problems. Individual Issues can be further categorized with the Issue Type field. For your reference, typical Issue Types include safety and quality. When a new Issue is created it can be assigned an Issue Type and an Owner. With the new release, users can now assign a Skill to Issue Types. This will then limit the available Owners of an Issue to users with the assigned Skill. This feature can be setup on the Edit Issue Type screen.
Planned Worklist Pop-Up
Sometimes it’s the small aesthetic changes that our customers get most excited about. This little upgrade certainly falls under that category. The Planned Worklist pop-up screen is heavily loaded with relevant fields. To help squeeze all these columns on screen we’ve now added a new wrap text feature. This allows the users to see the column headers without sacrificing precious screen space. Simple but satisfying.
Place Dispatch Orders On Hold
Users can now place released dispatch orders ‘On Hold.’ To change the status, simply select the order from the Dispatch Orders screen. Then select the new ‘On Hold’ button.
BOM Slot Instructions
Work instructions can now be added directly to the BOM Slot. These instructions will appear at the workstation during the operation which consumes the material. BOM Slot Instructions can be useful to add preparation notes to materials prior to them being consumed in the product workflow.
Variable Minutes Update
Users can now increase the accuracy of an operation’s variable minutes. This is particularly useful in high volume production. Prior to release 6.6.0, variable minutes were limited to 1 decimal place per minute. Essentially 6 seconds per unit. The new release extends the accuracy 2 further decimal places (.06 seconds per unit.) The addition has been made to each of these fields: Standard Variable Labour Minutes, Standard Variable Workcentre Minutes, and Planned Run Variable Minutes.
