Safeguard for Production, Test, and UAT Environments
We have added a safeguard to Sync Service Connections on the creation of customer TEST and UAT environments. The connection now has place holders for PROD, TEST and UAT connection strings, meaning MESTEC will now self-determine the connection string depending on the environment it is running under.
Shop-Floor Moves
We have improved the user interface to Shop-Floor Moves. An auto refresh has been added to all screens. By default the data will auto refresh but the user has the option to toggle this feature off. We have also added the quantity field to all Shop-Floor Moves screens.
Major Performance Improvements on APS Imports and Exports
In MESTEC 6.14.0 we launched new Import and Export features for data syncs to the APS module. Previous imports into APS that were taking up to 45 minutes or even an hour can now be executed as an Export from Mestec and complete in less than 5 minutes! Previous Exports from APS that were taking 5 minutes can now be executed as Imports to MESTEC are completing in under 30 seconds!
Item Status Improvements
The Item Status screen now includes an “Exact match only” tick box that is ticked by default. This has been done to add precision to the search results. The default filter options can be controlled in Application Properties. Users can select the search to default to any combination of Serial No, Unique ID, Product, and Order No.

- Managers can now edit the attendance records of their team members.
- Operators can now swap teams mid-shift without clocking out and clocking back in.
- From the workstation operators can now be booked on and off an operation without the user booking on.
- MESTEC now displays UofM conversion quantities on the Receive PO screen.
- When importing a BOM we have added a column to the template for additional candidates.
- When importing User data we have added a field to force a password change at login. We have also made the ‘suid’ field non-mandatory via import.
